Yelm residents who want to learn tips and strategies to improve their personal financial management are invited to attend a free financial literacy class hosted by the city of Yelm in partnership with Enterprise for Equity.
Classes are scheduled to be held 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. every Wednesday between May 8 and June 12. Registration is required.
More than 500 people have attended and found success through the program, which covers such topics as goal setting, investing and budgeting. Participants who attend all class sessions and finish the course will receive $25 upon completion.
Enterprise for Equity is a micro-enterprise development organization that specializes in business training, technical assistance, micro-loans, financial education workshops and seminars for entrepreneurs in the South Puget Sound region. It has been helping people with limited incomes and others start small businesses since 1999.
