In the spirit of giving, employees of Wilson Albers recently declared efforts to relieve $640,000 in medical debt in their service areas in the South Sound and Alaska.
The focus is to support local residents living under 200 percent of the poverty level, according to a press release.
“Our teams always come together to advance thinking for our clients, strategize new solutions for success, but most importantly to help those in need,” managing partner Lon Wilson said in the release.
Alera Group, the parent company of Wilson Albers, is alleviating a total of $18 million nationally in this effort. Letters of forgiveness started going out around Christmas and will likely continue into the beginning of this year.
Wilson Albers is an employer solutions firm that specializes in helping employers with services like retirement and employee benefits.
