Weyerhaeuser Distribution recently announced that it is adding a moisture-resistant insulation product from Owens Corning, FOAMULAR Extruded Polystyrene (XPS) insulation, to five select West Coast markets. Tacoma, Denver, Salt Lake City, Albany, OR, and Boise will all offer the sustainable building product.
SCS Global Services has certified FOAMULAR XPS insulation as having an average of 20 percent recycled content. The foamboard insulation uses a zero-ozone depletion formula and has been certified GREENGUARD Gold for its high indoor air quality. Using FOAMULAR XPS also helps builders obtain green building certifications.
“We are committed to supporting our customers with forward-thinking approaches to meeting changing codes in our growing communities,” said David Helmers, vice president of Weyerhaeuser Distribution. “FOAMULAR, a proven leader in building insulation systems, allows our west coast facilities to guide builders through the selection process for their homes and buildings.”
With Washington’s high standards for environmentally friendly building products, FOAMULAR XPS’s products will be a great fit for Weyerhaeuser’s south Tacoma distribution center.
