The Washington Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) — which offers free support to businesses to find, bid, and win government contracts with federal, state, and local governments — has announced that it will participate in National PTAC Day Sept. 16 to celebrate its small business clients’ success.
Washington PTAC will participate in a national webinar, an interactive quiz show featuring government contracting trivia, to be held at 11 a.m.
Washington PTAC has more than 1,500 active clients and conducts more than 100 trainings and events annually. Those business clients won more than 3,000 government contracts totaling more than $300 million last year.
“We have the privilege of working with some of the most innovative, hardworking businesses in Washington state. It’s exciting to see that these firms have a lot to offer the public sector,” said Tiffany Scroggs, program director of Washington PTAC, in a press release. “Doing business with the government is very different from the private sector. We support businesses in obtaining the necessary registrations and certifications, conduct market research, and then ensure they are submitting responsive proposals”.
