This Thursday, Sept. 24, Thurston business leaders will participate in a virtual Zoom talk focused on child care and retail and unemployment information.
Starting at 2 p.m., the free event will feature Kyle Cronk, the president and CEO of the South Sound YMCA, providing an update on his COVID-19 efforts as well as child care updates. Following Cronk, the Washington Retail Association’s Bruce Beckett will discuss the retail sector and what new information business owners should know about unemployment benefits.
The event will conclude with a Thurston County Public Health & Social Services update from Schelli Slaughter.
The program is part of a weekly series, Declassified, that looks to provide up-to-date information on business resources; state, federal, and local actions; COVID-19 status; and advocacy efforts in the Thurston County community, according to a press release.
It is hosted by the Thurston Economic Development Council’s (EDC) Executive Director Michael Cade and Thurston Chamber President and CEO David Schaffert.
