The United Ways of the Pacific Northwest (UWPNW) announced in a Sept. 14 press release that it had launched the Pacific Northwest Wildfire Relief & Recovery Fund to help mitigate harms caused by the wildfires currently affecting Washinton, Idaho, and Oregon.

According to the release, the UWPNW will be collaborating with local United Ways in applicable communities and using donations to assist displaced families in need of food, child care, health care, and more.

The fund has been designed to help families meet both new and longer-term needs, the release states.
