Are you passionate about reducing poverty and have a creative approach to addressing family financial instability? If so, United Way of Pierce County wants to hear from you.

Through the Pitch to Ditch Poverty Challenge, participants can pitch their ideas to the community for potential funding and additional support. Participants will have a chance to win up to $10,000 to be split between three creative approaches awarded to local groups. Funding is to be used toward the initial launch of the winning approaches.

The ideas must address poverty, stagnant wages and/or financial instability of Pierce County families, and concepts must be designed in collaboration with people who are living in poverty and would be impacted by the approach. Proposals must be submitted by July 31 at 5 p.m.
