Two graduates of the Spaceworks Incubator program are celebrating the grand opening of their businesses. Restyle Clothing Co. and Jade & Co. are both women-owned, creatively conceived retail stores.

Restyle Clothing Co., an upcycled clothing and home furnishing store, was launched by Kirsten Reynolds.  The grand opening celebration will be held from 12-2 p.m. on May 11 at the store, which is located at 3019 6th Ave, Ste. B in Tacoma.

The grand opening celebration of Jade & Co., a succulent store and workshop space started by Jennie Serrano, will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m., May 10-12 at the new store located at 6720 Regents Blvd., Suite 110 in University Place.

Both women participated in the Spaceworks Incubator program and Spaceworks small business training in 2017.

“Spaceworks was a crash course in the elements of success of a business and production of a business plan. Plus alumni meetings to network and discuss pertinent business stuff, and having supportive classmates was the best!” Serrano said.

According to their website, Spaceworks’ mission is to, “Make Tacoma culturally vibrant and economically strong through training and support for artists and creative entrepreneurs.”
