, a subsidiary of LendingTree, recently released their quarterly list of the top 50 healthiest credit unions. The firm reviews over 11,000 banks and credit unions in the United States. Capitalization, deposit growth, and loan-to-reserve ratios are among the factors considered to determine the rank of each institution.

This quarter, two South Sound credit unions made the list. Our Community Credit Union, based out of Shelton and with locations throughout rural areas in the Puget Sound, landed at 25 on the list. Sound Credit Union, which is based out of Tacoma and has branches all over the South Sound, came it at number 40.

Other Washington state credit unions on the list are: Fibre Federal Credit Union – Longview (26), Columbia Credit Union – Vancouver (33), and Whatcom Educational Credit Union – Bellingham (38).
