The Thurston County Board of Commissioners is holding its weekly meeting in Rochester next week.
The board will hold next week’s meeting at 5:30 p.m., April 30 at the Rochester Middle School Commons, 9937 U.S.-12, Rochester, WA 98579.
“I and my fellow commissioners are really looking forward to meeting and hearing from citizens who can’t always make it to the Courthouse on a Tuesday afternoon for a board meeting,” said Board Chair John Hutchings in a prepared statement. “Off-site meetings are just one of the ways we are working to make government more accessible and transparent, and connecting citizens with their local government.”
The board’s agenda-setting meeting, slated for 9 a.m. on April 30, will still be held in building one, room 280 of the Thurston County Courthouse Complex, located at 2000 Lakeridge Drive SW, Olympia, WA.
People unable to attend the meetings can stream it live on the county’s YouTube channel.
The board will hold two additional off-site meetings in the county’s first and second districts; dates, and locations are yet to be determined.
Agendas for the commission’s board meetings are available online.
