The Thurston County Chamber Foundation announced yesterday that it is partnering with the South Puget Sound Community College (SPSCC) Foundation to offer the Diversity in Business Scholarship.

According to a release from the chamber, this new opportunity awards three scholarships at $2,375 a recipient.

The scholarship had initially been established by the chamber last year to support academic success for underrepresented Thurston County minority students, per the release.

The application window begins today and ends June 30. General applications can be completed here; students will additionally be asked to write a personal essay in which they discuss their previous, current, or future community service in Thurston County, the release states.

Selected applicants will be awarded Aug. 1.
