Three local organizations are now certified by the Pierce County Workforce Development Council (WDC): the WorkSource Pierce Job Center, the JBLM WorkSource Affiliate Site, and the Goodwill of the Olympics & Rainier Region WorkSource Affiliate.
The certification is “a stamp of approval that shows (the organizations) have undergone rigorous training and have committed to a high level of service and performance,” according to a statement released by the WDC.
All three organizations offer services to people seeking employment, such as job search and placement help, career counseling, connections to job training, resume writing assistance, and more. The WorkSource Pierce Job Center also offers assistance to employers, like reference checks and resume screening.
“On behalf of the Pierce County Workforce Development Council, we are extremely impressed with these three partnered sites for their commitment to quality and continuous improvement as they prepare our workforce for family-wage careers, and as they assist local businesses to access the qualified talent they need to remain globally competitive,” said Linda Nguyen, CEO of WorkForce Central.
