The council is looking for a variety of stakeholders to ensure the commission is balanced, including environmental, business, labor, housing, industrial, transportation, education, and residential communities. The commission is an arm of accountability for the implementation of the city’s environmental action plan and aims to bolster public involvement.
Commission members meet on the fourth Thursday of every month, and the monthly commitment is typically four to eight hours.
Applications are due Tuesday, Oct. 8 and can submitted online or by contacting Michelle Emery at email@example.com.
More information is available on the Sustainable Tacoma Commission webpage, or contact Patrick Babbitt at firstname.lastname@example.org.
