Tacoma Public Utilities announced last week that it had extended the deadline for the city’s small businesses to apply for a utility bill relief program.
Catered to small businesses that have been affected by COVID-19 since March 17, applicants now have until this Wednesday, Nov. 11, midnight to apply for up to $750 in utility assistance.
According to a release from the department, the funds are a component of the City of Tacoma’s Coronavirus Relief Funds from the federal CARES Act. Applicants must have an open account with the department, have 50 or fewer employees, and operate out of a brick-and-mortar location.
Applications can be submitted and more information about utility relief can be found here.
