The City of Tacoma recently announced the launch of its new GIS portal, “GeoHub.” The new portal, located at geohub.cityoftacoma.org, provides advanced mapping capabilities and can allow access to all publicly available city GIS maps, applications, and other data in one centralized spot. The “GeoHub” portal was built on the Esri ArcGIS platform.
“Many are familiar with an older iteration of this tool that the City has had in place since 2000 called govME,” said Information Technology Director Daniel Key. “This new portal — with its contemporary look, user-friendly interface and responsive, mobile-friendly design — replaces govME, and represents one of many significant leaps forward in the City’s continued efforts to enhance government transparency.”
Those using “GeoHub” can give feedback to the city about their experience with the new portal by calling 311 (or (253) 591-5000) or by emailing email@example.com.
