The National Alliance of Preservation Commission has chosen Tacoma for its FORUM 2020 conference, a biennial event for staff and volunteers from local, state, national, and government organizations involved in historic preservation.
“We’re thrilled to be holding FORUM 2020 in Tacoma, Washington and look forward to exploring the history, culture and strong preservation practice of Tacoma and the Pacific Northwest,” NAPC Executive Director Stephanie Paul said in a statement.
The conference will include education sessions, discussion panels, tours, and networking opportunities.
“Tacoma is excited to have this opportunity to showcase the city and its historic resources,” said Historic Preservation Officer Reuben McKnight. “We are honored to be chosen as the first West Coast city to host the conference.”
