The Tacoma City Council is currently seeking applications to fill positions on the Sustainable Tacoma Commission and the Tacoma Community Redevelopment Authority (TCRA) Board.
The Council is looking to fill three positions on the Sustainable Tacoma Commission, one being a youth position. The Commission is designed to bring resident participation and accountability to the implementation of Tacoma’s Environmental Action Plan, and to communicate and encourage public involvement in sustainability issues. The application deadline is Jan. 12.
In addition, the Council is looking to fill four positions on the TCRA Board. One position requires experience in banking or financing; one position requires at least three years of experience as a licensed real estate broker or agent; and two positions require experience as a certified public accountant.
The TCRA Board, among other things, administers loans to low-income Tacoma families who need help buying or repairing their homes, developers that provide multi-family housing to low-income families, businesses that create jobs or rehabilitate blighted commercial spaces, and non-profit organizations that provide housing assistance and economic development services to the Tacoma community. The application deadline is Jan. 10.
