The Tacoma Art Museum (TAM) announced that Matt Marshall has joined its team as the new Director of Development.

Marshall was previously the Major Gifts Officer for Seattle’s Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP), where he worked to create a fundraising team that assisted in the growth of financial support. He also directed the endowment campaign for the Seattle museum, as well as the design phase for their giving program.

Marshall has served as the Major Gifts Officer for the Seattle Symphony Orchestra as well. While in that position, he worked on many large projects, managed a portfolio of over 100 donors, and spearheaded the efforts in donations toward the organization’s $100 million capital campaign.

“I couldn’t be more excited to have Matt join our TAM development team,” said Jeff Williams, TAM’s Development Committee co-chair, in a statement. “Matt’s strong performance at MoPOP and the SSO is a reliable predictor of his continued career growth and success at TAM. I look forward to introducing Matt to our museum patrons and the community leaders of the South Sound.”

TAM welcomes visitors Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and for free from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursdays; on the fourth Friday in each month, the museum is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
