Swenson Healthcare, a provider that serves post-acute care patients in the South Sound, announced yesterday that it would expand its practice to five additional facilities. This expansion into Port Orchard, Port Townsend, Gig Harbor, Federal Way, and Skagit Valley is made possible by Swenson Healthcare’s partnership with Life Care Centers of America.

“We are 100% committed to serving skilled nursing and long-term care facilities in the Puget Sound area,” said founder Dr. Swenson in a statement. “Aligning closely with patients, facilities and clinicians at the community level is the key to our success. The improvement of key quality and performance metrics, such as rehospitalization reductions and antibiotic stewardship, is our primary focus. We continue to gain the confidence of skilled nursing facilities where we practice because we deliver on our commitments.”

Swenson Healthcare’s commitments include providing long term care to the Puget Sound community and ensuring that patients transition successfully to their home or to a new facility.
