South Puget Sound Community College is helping play matchmaker to potential employers and employees.
The college will host its 31st annual Career Day from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., May 8 in its student union building. More than 50 employers across a variety of fields and industries will be present to share career information with students, recruit new employees, conduct informational interviews, and more.
An event app — called The Fairs App — will be available to help attendees connect with employers before and after the event. Attendees should download the app from Apple’s App Store or the Google Play store.
Job seekers are encouraged to dress professionally and bring several copies of their resume in case they’re invited to take part in an on-the-spot interview.
Career Day is an annual event hosted by the WSECU Center for Career Services at SPSCC. It is “an integral college service that assists students and graduates with all aspects of their career search, including resume writing, interview techniques, and more,” according to the school.
More information is available at SPSCC’s career services website.
