South Sound businesses of all sizes can network, share insights, and learn how to stay ahead of the competition at next week’s South Sound Summit on Oct. 30 at the Greater Tacoma Convention Center.

The half-day conference will feature TED-like talks from innovative business leaders, breakout sessions led by several different industry professionals, stations where participants can ask questions of local experts, and an evening cocktail hour.

Mitch Lowe, CEO of Movie Pass, co-founding executive of Netflix, and former president of Redbox, will be the keynote speaker.

Lowe recently helped grow the MoviePass subscriber base from 20,000 to millions. During his speaking engagements, he uses his experience from working with successful startups such as Netflix, Redbox, and MoviePass to teach entrepreneurs how to simplify their business and to create a winning culture.

Additional speakers include Pierce County Executive Bruce Dammeier, Congressman Denny Heck, Tacoma Urban League President T’wina Nobles, RAIN founder Dr. David Hirschberg, University of Washington Tacoma’s Director of Urban Studies Dr. Ali Modarres, Anthem Coffee and Tea owner Bryan Reynolds, and many more.
