Sound Physicians has named former Anthem executive Brendan McNamara as its new CEO for Sound Telemedicine.

In this role, McNamara will oversee all strategic and operational aspects of Sound Telemedicine. He will play a critical role in identifying and growing new services for both acute and post-acute settings, including within hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and at home.

Most recently, McNamara served as staff vice president, strategy, diversified business group at Anthem, where he was responsible for driving strategy development, commercialization, and corporate development. Prior to that, he held leadership roles in a number of healthcare-oriented organizations, including Quintiles Transnational Holdings, Accelion, and Guardian Homecare Holdings.
