Last week, the Olympia Downtown Alliance, in partnership with the City of Olympia, introduced an online Shop & Dine guide for consumers to stay updated on all their favorite businesses with ease.
The guide was created as way to connect companies with consumers, without having to do all the leg work of notifying the public of their current hours and offerings.
“Many people were asking how they could stay up-to-date on which restaurants were open for take-out and which shops had online ordering available, so we partnered with the City of Olympia to develop a Shop & Dine Guide,” said Todd Cutts, executive director of Olympia Downtown Alliance.
Since Washington’s ‘Stay Home’ proclamation went into effect on March 23, area restaurants and retail spaces have been forced to close storefronts. But many are offering take-out meals, online products, or other means of pivoting to stay in business during these unusual circumstances.
The guide will continue to be updated and developed as businesses shift and adjust. “This is a work in progress,” said Cutts. “Our plan is to keep building the directory to include every business downtown as a valuable resource to the community.”
