Mason General Hospital & Family of Clinics has seen much change in the first two months of 2020; the most significant of which is a new name and logo, as well as revamped mission, vision, and values statements.

Henceforth known as Mason Health, the Shelton-based healthcare district’s new vision statement is to “provide the best patient-centered care in the Pacific Northwest,” while staying true to its new values, service, and relationships.

“We want to continue to be recognized as a leader in the healthcare sector both locally and regionally,” CEO Eric Moll said in a statement. “We all strive to serve our patients and make their experience with us the absolute best it can be. Our new vision statement and values reflect this philosophy and culture.”

Additionally, Mason Health, on Feb. 21, celebrated the grand opening and dedication ceremony for its new Mason Clinic. Located on 13th Street in Shelton, the new 60,000-square-foot facility eventually will house all of Mason Health’s clinics — except for Hoodsport Family Clinic — growing its total exam rooms from 71 to 110.

MGH Shelton Family Medicine and Orthopedics, MGH Walk-In Clinic, and the MGH Professional Way Lab Draw Station were the first clinics to move into the new facility, with plans to get all clinics to transition into the new space by the end of the summer.

“The purpose of Mason Clinic is to improve our ability to serve our patients by offering an integrated team-based care approach,” Moll said. “Mason Clinic will make it possible for the district to consolidate provider offices and patient services now located in multiple buildings east of the Hospital into a modern, accessible and patient-focused facility.”

Additional announcements from Mason Health include the donation of $85,000 from the Shelton Hospital Association toward the purchase of two new ultrasound machines; the awarding of the inaugural Ben Lindekugel Governance Excellence Award to the district’s commissioner, Scott Hilburn; and the hiring and promotion of several of its employees. Most notably, the district promoted Michele Tierney to director of clinic operations for Mason Clinic, while Breanna Turner recently began her new role as Mason Clinic front office supervisor.
