In preparation for its planned 14.4-mile Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) line between downtown Tacoma and Spanaway, Pierce Transit is holding six public open houses over the next two weeks.

The agency decided last summer to move forward with the BRT system, which is designed to accommodate more passengers and travel faster than a standard bus system. According to Pierce Transit, the new line will run between the Commerce Street Transfer Center in Tacoma and the intersection of 204th Street East and State Route 7 in Spanaway.

The public is invited to attend one of the following open houses to learn more about the project and share input on potential station locations, lane configurations, and more.
