Those seeking work in Pierce County now have access to a one-stop job shop through WorkForce Central’s new tool called “Live. Work. Pierce.”

“Almost half of Pierce County residents commute elsewhere for work each day, but there are so many career opportunities right here,” said Pierce County Executive Bruce Dammeier, a member of the WorkForce Central Executive Board. “Live. Work. Pierce. is a one-of-a-kind tool that allows people to search for their future job in one place, and we are excited for our residents to start taking advantage of this resource.”

The new tool scrapes daily results from major online job boards and then filters them by geographical area, according to the organization.

WorkForce Central hopes “Live. Work. Pierce” will help fill some of the roughly 10,000 job openings in the county, grow the hiring pool available to employers, decrease commute times, and ultimately increase the quality of life for residents.
