A winner has been announced in the City of Olympia’s sixth annual Percival Plinth Project People’s Choice Award: “Pig Listening in a Story Place” by Nancy Thorne-Chambers.

631 people voted in the contest, calling the winning piece “well-executed,” “expertly done,” and “whimsical,” according to a statement released by the city. Chambers’ work will be added to Olympia’s permanent art collection.

Honorable mentions were “Pendant Mandala” by Kenneth Hall and “Old Man of the Sea” by Sandra Hays.

The sculptures will be on display at Percival Landing until next summer.
