Western U.S. delivery company, GLS, has teamed up with KentHOPE and Northwest Harvest to collect food and household items during the upcoming Kent Chamber of Commerce Expo featuring the Taste of Kent at the ShoWare Center.
The Kent Chamber of Commerce Expo and Taste of Kent will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Oct. 15 at the ShoWare Center, located at 625 W. James St. Individuals and businesses are invited to drop off non-perishable food and household items such as paper towels, toilet paper, wipes, trash bags, socks, and deodorant at the Expo. The GLS team will load donations for distribution into its vehicles in front of the ShoWare Center.
“We are committed to working with organizations like KentHOPE and Northwest Harvest to help support local communities. As presenting sponsor at the Kent Chamber Expo, we look forward to introducing our 30 years of delivery experience to the South Sound business community,” stated Millie Tarallo, vice president of sales and customer success at GLS. “We encourage the community to bring food and household items to the Expo. We’ll load them into our trucks and deliver them to the local non-profits that work so tirelessly each day to serve people who need help.”
