WorkForce Central is celebrating the opening of the new Parkland Career Center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in November.

The event, which will include a tour of the new center along with the ribbon-cutting, is scheduled for Nov. 6 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., at 402 Garfield St. S. in Parkland.

The new center will be home to the Pierce County Pre-Apprenticeship Program, young adult internship program, and a resource room open to all Pierce County residents.

The Pierce County Construction Pre-Apprenticeship Program will launch in the space starting in January. Open to Pierce County residents aged 18 and over, the program will help participants to take the first steps toward a career in the construction trades.

All services and programs in the Parkland Career Center will be available at no cost to Pierce County residents. For more information about the center’s grand opening, visit this website.
