Gig Harbor’s new retail center, Olympic Towne Center, is expected to open this May. The 187,190-square-foot shopping center is located off Point Fosdick Drive. The center’s 7 buildings are currently 90 percent leased and house the following tenants:
- Building A: Hop Jacks, Nail Spa Center, and Wells Fargo
- Building B: AutoZone, T-Mobile, Mattress Firm, Bright Now! Dental, and Kaiser Permanente
- Building C: Miss Saigon and GoldMine Coins & Relics
- Building D: PetSmart
- Building E: Ocean 5
- Building F: Fred Meyer
- Building H: Fred Meyer Fuel Center
Olympic Towne Center’s owner, WWR Properties, has long wanted to redevelop the site, formerly a car dealership, for commercial retail purposes. Helix Design Group led the master planning and designed buildings A, B, C, and D. Building E, where Ocean 5 is located, was designed by Finkle + Williams Architecture. That space will be occupied by restaurants, a laser tag area, bowling lanes, and other forms of entertainment. Building F, which houses Fred Meyer, was designed by the Portland-based firm MacKenzie.
Some of the center’s tenants are already open for business, including Fred Meyer, Wells Fargo, and Ocean 5.
