Work crews are wrapping up an expansion at the Point Defiance Ferry Terminal, which included the addition of two ferry holding lanes and upgrades to the tolling communication system.

At the end of September, crews finished paving and installing temporary stripping on the roadway on a section of North Pearl/State Route 163 near Point Defiance Landing. In a couple weeks, once the asphalt has cured, the crews will install the final stripping. Washington State Department of Transportation officials noted this timeline will be dependent on weather conditions, but the lanes are currently open to ferry traffic.
