MultiCare Health System has named Jim McManus as its new Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
McManus, an executive with 30 years’ experience in healthcare, will start at the Tacoma-based, nonprofit health care organization in April. As CFO, McManus will partner closely with team members on both the health system and the business unit levels on strategic and operational success, the company stated.
“Jim is an approachable, positive leader who is eager to help MultiCare achieve its vision for the future,” said Bill Robertson, president and CEO of MultiCare. “He will provide oversight and direction as the organization continues to shift to value-based services and incorporates new payment models.”
McManus served as CFO at Marin General Hospital in Greenbrae, California, for the last four years. Previously, he was the vice president of finance at St. Joseph Health System in Orange, California, and CFO at St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, California.
McManus held leadership positions with Tenet Healthcare and Interhealth Corp. in California between 1990 and 1999. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from California State University, Long Beach, and was a certified public accountant.
