Are you a local investor looking for your next investment opportunity? If so, mark your calendar for an information session to learn more about Thurston Investment Network (ThINk), a membership-based network of local investors.

The group is inviting the community to learn more about ThINk, which is akin to the popular TV show Shark Tank. Those who join ThINk also will have the opportunity to hear two local businesses make their pitches.

The session is scheduled for June 12 at 3 p.m. at Thurston EDC Center for Business & Innovation at SPSCC’s Lacey Campus, 4220 6th Ave. S.E., in Lacey.

To date, the network has invested in five local businesses for a total of more than $300,000, according to the network. This past March, individual investors, through ThINk invested in Off Planet Research. The Lacey-based company simulates extraterrestrial environments for testing space-based technology and has developed lunar regolith, [artificial Moon soil] and ice simulants for testing lunar technology or conducting research.
