Life Care Center of Puyallup has started issuing COVID-19 vaccinations in partnership with CVS Pharmacy, according to a recent press release.
Following the standard of FDA-approved vaccines, it will involve two doses taken in a timely manner. Qualified CVS pharmacists will administer the vaccine.
While Paul Nimz, the executive director of the facility, encourages residents and associates to take the vaccine in the release, he confirmed that it will not be a mandatory measure.
Other safeguards, as recommended by entities including the Centers for Disease Control, will carry on.
To Nimz, the vaccine is something which he is thankful for and that he believes “offers hope as we move forward,” as stated in the release.
