The Kitsap County Division of Aging and Long Term Care is inviting residents to participate in a survey that will be used in the development of a four-year plan that identifies local services for older adults.

The Kitsap County Division of Aging and Long Term Care, which is the designated Area Agency on Aging for Kitsap, is responsible for the development of the Aging Area Plan. It identifies gaps in services, defines demographic trends, challenges and opportunities. The plan also addresses how the Area Agency on Aging will administer programs to support older adults and adults with disabilities living in the community, and allocate discretionary funding.

The 2020-2023 Area Plan is currently being developed and Kitsap County residents are invited to participate in the survey by visiting https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/GC7DVB5. The survey deadline is April 30, 2019.

Individuals who do not have online access can contact the Aging office at (360) 337-5700 to request a mailed paper survey.

Community members can check the Aging and Long Term Care Web site for more information about services, the Area Plan, future public hearing dates, and to view the draft document in mid-August.
