Kitsap Bank selected five finalists in its 2018 edg3 FUND small business competition, the bank announced today. The competition recognizes entrepreneurs invested in growing the Kitsap community economically, socially, and environmentally.
“We were very impressed with the caliber of businesses represented in our semifinalist grouping,” said Tony George, Kitsap Bank President and COO. “Their commitment to bettering their communities is truly inspirational.”
The 2018 finalists are:
- Compost Manufacturing Alliance, LLC – Port Orchard
- HandiMaps – Renton
- Kodama Farm and Food Forest – Chimacum
- Sequim Bee Farm – Port Angeles
- Wood Originals, LLC – Bremerton
The five finalists will present their pitches during a live competition at 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 15 at the Kitsap Conference Center at Harborside in Bremerton. One winner will be awarded $20,000.
A $5,000 Community edg3 Award will also be presented to one semifinalist who “best embodies the spirit of community,” according to the bank.
