Kitsap recently awarded seven scholarships to 2020 high school graduates. Each year, Kitsap Bank provides scholarships to students of employees who are graduating high school and going on to attend college or technical school.
This year’s scholarship recipients are:
Taylor Bick, Central Kitsap High School
Mark Bradshaw, North Mason High School
Tessa Nolan, Wilson High School
Jacob Petersen, Peninsula High School
Erica Rosenow, South Kitsap High School
Brendan Smith, Rogers High School
Mitchell Wolfe, Sumner High School
“We are extremely pleased to provide scholarships to this talented group of students,” Helen Langer Smith, Vice Chairwoman of the Board, said in a release.
Taylor Bick will be attending Olympic College to achieve her AA degree before transferring to Western Washington University where she intends to receive a business degree. Erica Rosenow will also attend Olympic College, and plans to pursue a degree in criminal justice. Mark Bradshaw is attending South Puget Sound Community College where he plans to receive his degree in education. Tessa Nolan will pursue a nursing degree at Eastern Washington University. Jacob Peterson will attend Tacoma Community College before transferring to Washington State University to study criminal justice. Brendan Smith is pursuing a computer science degree at University of Washington Tacoma. Mitchell Wolfe will be attending the Sacramento State University, with a full football scholarship, and plans to study finance.
“This year’s graduates have been particularly challenged to complete their educational requirements during the COVID-19 shutdown; and at the same time, they have missed out on many of the traditional fun activities that high school seniors always look forward to,” Langer Smith said in a release. “And so we are very pleased to praise their fortitude, applaud their accomplishments, and to support their educational goals. We are so proud of each one of these talented young people.”
