The cities of Kent and Federal Way are collectively offering a total of $45,000 in grant funding for organizations that specialize in serving underrepresented or under-resourced populations including residents disadvantaged due to race, ethnicity, or sexual orientation, refugees, immigrants, and English language learners.

Qualified organizations must have a budget of less than $250,000, not have received funding from Kent, Federal Way, or Tukwila in the last three years, and have a board of directors and staff that represent the communities being served.

Organizations also must address a need identified by the city’s human services board or commission, and demonstrate that they serve “a significant number of people living in one of the participating jurisdictions,” according to a statement released by the City of Kent.

Funding applications for Kent can be accessed here, and for Federal Way, here.
