Most change doesn’t happen in isolation; it takes a community to change a community, which will be the topic of conversation this month with Peter Buffett, the youngest son of billionaire Warren Buffett.

On Sept. 17, United Way of Pierce County is hosting a concert and conversation at University of Puget Sound alongside Buffett, who plans to share his take on tackling social issues and philanthropy.

Buffett will be speaking as part of a cross-country event series to “ignite new thinking and energy around community issues,” according to the news release. Best known for his work as a musician, Buffett has also been a major player in humanitarianism.

The event is open to students and the public with tickets on sale now. For more information about the event, visit United Way online.
