Looking for a way to help out local businesses reeling from the financial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic? Enter Here For Good 253.

Through this new community fundraising effort, consumers can buy original T-shirts and hoodies with a local flair, and $10 of every T-shirt purchase and $20 of every hoodie purchase will go directly to a local business of their choice.

“We’re trying to do something constructive during a really weird time for small businesses,” stated Curtis Costner, CEO of Brand Stratos, the Tacoma-based marketing agency that initiated the campaign. “I think everyone wants to be part of the solution. Our community has a huge number of beloved local institutions that are in danger of going under, despite strong demand and faultless business practices.”

Local small businesses in need of help can participate. They can then direct customers to the Here For Good 253 website to purchase apparel with original designs featuring local icons such as Mount Rainier and the Murray Morgan lift bridge in downtown Tacoma. At checkout, customers choose which business will benefit from the sale. Virtually all of the profits then go to that business in the form of weekly cash payouts.
