The cruise to Olympia Harbor Days over Labor Day Weekend is back by popular demand for a second year. On August 31, the historic 125-passenger steam ship, Virginia V, will make its way from Tacoma’s Foss Waterway Seaport dock to the port of Olympia, where guests can enjoy the largest maritime festival in the South Sound — Olympia Harbor Days.
The three-day festival will include cultural activities; a salmon bake; live bands on two stages; over 200 vendors selling arts, crafts, and food; sculpting events; and more. Children are welcome, as there will be activities catered toward them as well.
As the cruise is intentionally aligned with the festival’s dates, passengers will be able to enjoy all that Olympia has to offer — Harbor Days and beyond — while staying at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel. Virginia V will return to Tacoma on September 2 at sunset after guests see the famous Vintage Tugboat Races.
Tickets to the weekend getaway are $399 for one adult or $499 for a couple. To reserve a seat, call the DoubleTree at 360-570-0555 x0 and ask for “Cruise Reservations.”
