The City of Fife recently introduced two programs to help people who have been financially affected by COVID-19.

The first COVID-19 relief program, Utility Bill Residential Grant, will help residential utility customers pay their bill. The City of Fife is allocating $104,200 from the city’s portion of CARES Act funding to implement the program. The assistance is a one-time $250 grant. Qualified candidates can apply here by Sept. 18.

The second COVID-19 relief program, Hardship Payment Plan, will suspend water shutoffs for nonpayment from businesses and residents through Oct. 15.

“We urge customers to do their best to continue paying their bills,” according to a City press release. “The additional steps taken above do not relieve customers from paying their bills, but allows for spreading out payments over a longer period of time.”
