The Federal Way City Council is currently seeking applicants for several volunteer positions on the following commissions:

Diversity Commission: Members of this group advise the City Council on policy matters involving cultural and ethnic differences within the community and help to ensure that those differences are considered when decisions are made.

Historic Landmarks Commission: This commission was formed in partnership with King County. Members help to review and process local historic landmark applications. Prospective applicants should have strong, demonstrated interest and competence in historic preservation.

Independent Salary Commission: Members of this commission review the salaries and benefits of the Federal Way Mayor and City Council members, the relationship between those salaries and the job requirements of city officials, and make adjustments if necessary.
