Everybody supposedly hates Walmart, but the parking lot was full of cars this morning and manager Adam Fann said business is doing well.
Walmart opened this store off Union Avenue in Tacoma on July 17. It’s the first to open in city limits.
“Everything is going great,” Fann said today. “We’ve been busy. We’ve had great customer traffic.”
He expects to see even more customers beginning in the next few months with McDonald’s and Starbucks slated to open later this year across the parking lot from the supercenter.
Construction on McDonald’s is set to start any day now, Fann said. It will open sometime next month, when crews will begin work on Starbucks, which should be open in time for the holiday season.
So, have you checked out the new Walmart? Will McDonald’s and Starbucks give you a reason to stop in?
