More than 100 members of Thurston County Realtors Association spent part of last Friday working on projects throughout neighborhoods in their annual Community Service Day.
They partnered with Senior Services for South Sound to help some elderly residents of Olympia and Lacey to clean up and fix up their homes. Another large group of the real estate professionals made what has become an annual trek to the historic Mima Prairie Pioneer Cemetery to maintain an otherwise overgrown resting place for some of the South Sound’s first pioneers.
“It is important to us to give back to the community we love,” says Rae Anne Toth, 2017 president of TCRA.“Realtors really turned out for this day – despite being incredibly busy in this market – and worked hard to make a difference.”
Local businesses sponsoring the day of community improvement were Sparks Northwest Insurance, Boggs Inspections Services, United Roofing Solutions, Olympia Federal Savings, and Absolute Mortgage.
