The 21st Annual Thurston/Mason County Resource Fair will take place on Wednesday, March 7 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Labor & Industries Building in Tumwater.

Private, nonprofit, and governmental organizations will attend the fair and provide guests with information about the wide range of services offered in the area to people with developmental disabilities.

Those services include vocational, recreational, and residential assistance. Individuals and families can have one-on-one conversations about those services, as well as other available community resources.

For high school students with special needs and their parents or guardians, information will be provided about adapting and transitioning to life after high school. Families with younger children with developmental disabilities can get help in preparing their students for middle and high school.

“This event will provide individuals and families with the resources they need, as well as promote community connections and opportunities,” said Developmental Disabilities Program Manager Jennifer Popchockhakim.

The event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Anne Butigan at (360) 867-2520 or visit the Thurston County website.
