Spaceworks Tacoma, the Tacoma initiative aimed at helping creative entrepreneurs further their businesses, has engaged with a consultant to kick off a rebrand.
The program has tapped brand consultants brand cap to spearhead the rebrand. The new identity will be the result of a four-stage project that will include an audit of Spaceworks’ stakeholders, leading to redesigning Spaceworks’ visual identity, revamping its marketing strategy and redesigning its website.
“We are thrilled to be working with BrandCap as their knowledge of this sector is unrivalled. Also, and more importantly, their global and cross-sector experience will provide an unbiased perspective, which will ultimately help us to better serve our local community.”
A release from Spaceworks also identified its growth goals, which include raising outside support and becoming a more recognizable organization in the state. The program launched in 2010 as a joint initiative of the City of Tacoma and the Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber of Commerce. Spaceworks connects artistic entrepreneurs to business training and works with property owners to provide vacant spaces at reduced rates for brick-and-mortar storefronts and pop-up events.
To date, Spaceworks has helped launch and train over 100 creative businesses.
