The website for Bruce Titus’ Port Orchard Ford advertises a Construction Sale, seeming to confirm a report in Kitsap County’s largest newspaper of a major expansion of the auto and truck dealership.
The Kitsap Sun’s Business Journal today reports that permit applications have been filed to spread the existing Bay Street dealership onto the adjacent land parcel that currently hosts a charity’s thrift store.
Bruce Titus, who operates dealerships in South Tacoma, as well as in Thurston and King counties, is proposing a two-story building with about 29,000 sq.ft. on the parcel adjacent to his existing 12,000 sq.ft. showroom.
Because the site is near the Sinclair Inlet shoreline, a number of permits and a variance will be needed. The Kitsap publication reported that Titus paid $1.65 million for the parcel that was owned by Port Orchard Shopping Center LP.
