Tacoma’s Chuckals Office Supplies, established by founders Chuck Hellar and Al Lynden in 1994, is under new ownership.

Jon Rossman, formerly vice president of the company, has purchased the office products company, according to a statement. Rossman is active within the community, serving on the boards of directors for both the Emergency Food Network and for the Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber of Commerce.

“The transition is certainly not about me,” said Rossman, “it’s about the people we employ, the customers we love and the community which we live in. I believe that through an organization like Chuckals, we can continue to push the line about why people should do business locally and support one another as community members.

“It’s one of the reasons why I’m so excited about this transition. I believe there’s a ton more to do!”

Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
