The Washington State Department of Health has taken disciplinary actions or withdrawn charges against the following South Sound health care providers.
In February, the Chemical Dependency Professional Program reinstated the certification of chemical dependency professional trainee Steven Michael Dorland and placed it on probation.
In February, the Board of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery released osteopathic physician assistant Kristie Michelle Mattern from terms and conditions set against her license.
In February, the Dental Commission charged dental assistant Kim M. Shipman with unprofessional conduct. She was convicted of two counts of theft.
In February, the Health Care Assistant Program granted the application of Kariann L. Williams and placed her license on probation for two years. She was convicted of forgery.
In February, the Nursing Commission charged registered nurse Virginia Hadley with unprofessional conduct. She allegedly failed to meet standards in caring for a patient who required monitoring, assessment, oxygen and resuscitation.
